FLORENCE T. DILWORTH, AGE 89, of Hockessin, DE, passed away at the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE, on Saturday, September 30, 2006. She was the wife of Harry L. Dilworth, who passed away in 2004, and with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Lillian Dutton Totham.
She was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company in Wilmington, De, for 20 years, retiring in 1972.
Mrs. Dilworth was a past member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers and the Po-Mar-Lin- Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the beach.
She is survived by four sons: Harry John Dilworth of Morganton, NC, Raymond L. Dilworth of Unionville, PA, James N. Dilworth of Kirkwood, PA, and Robert S. Dilworth of Hockessin, DE: one daughter with whom she lived, Virginia D. Scholl of Hockessin: one sister, Frances T. Stephens of Unionville, PA, eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandson.
Family and friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday morning, October 5, 2006, from 10:00 to 11:00, at the Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, Inc., (610-869-2685) 200 Rose Hill Road, West Grove, PA 19390. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00.
Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square, PA.
